Our story

In the summer of 2017, Ngoc shared with Hoai about a deliciously fresh and naturally sweet beverage — palmyra nectar, a specialty from the Seven Mountains region of An Giang, the hometown of their former colleague, Ms. Diu.
We quickly realized that although more and more people were looking for natural sweeteners to replace refined sugar, this product was not yet available in Vietnam. And so, Palmania was born in June 2017.
Palmania was founded by Diu, Hoai, and Ngoc — three people who share a deep passion for natural products. By partnering, training, working directly with, and purchasing nectar straight from local farmers — while reinvesting to expand cooperation with more households — we deliver pure, flavorful palmyra nectar that captures the essence of nature.
At the same time, Palmania focuses on developing new products from palmyra nectar to add value to this traditional craft.

Our Mission

Beyond transforming a local product into one of international standards, our mission is to fulfill our social responsibility — preserving and developing the traditional craft of the indigenous Khmer people in An Giang, Vietnam.
Core Values

Trust, Quality, and Transparency are the core values that define our commitment.
Our love for traditional, natural, and healthy products drives us every day.
We not only help preserve the traditional craftsmanship of the Khmer community in An Giang but also pioneer in producing truly natural and pure palmyra nectar products in Vietnam.
Every product we create is ethical and sustainable, made solely from the nectar of naturally grown palmyra trees (Borassus Flabellifer).
Our dedication ensures that you can fully trust the authenticity and quality of our products.
Social Responsibility

Products We’re Proud Of
Better Income, Better Lives

By working closely and buying directly from local farmers, we not only ensure product quality but also help them earn 2–2.5 times higher income than before.
Protecting Palmyra Trees

Thanks to the stable and higher income from Palmania, local farmers can continue to preserve the culturally significant palmyra trees for nectar tapping instead of cutting them down for a small profit.
Creating Local Jobs

We also create additional employment opportunities at our production facility, especially for young women, including those from indigenous communities.
Reviving a Traditional Craft

A nearly forgotten traditional craft is now being revived and passed on to future generations.
Palmania Production Process
How is Palmyra Nectar Harvested?

The harvest season occurs during the dry months in southern Vietnam, typically from November to June.
Farmers climb the tall palmyra trees, make a small incision on the flower stem, and hang a container underneath to collect the nectar.
How is Palmania Made?

After harvesting, the nectar is boiled to make thick palmyra nectar. Using advanced drying technology, Palmania processes directly sourced nectar from farmers into the finest quality palmyra products.

Our Hometown – An Giang

Located in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, An Giang is a cultural center home to diverse ethnic groups including Khmer, Cham, and Hoa. The Khmer people primarily live in the Seven Mountains area (Tri Ton and Tinh Bien districts).
Seven Mountains is known not only for its scenic beauty of mountains and rice fields but also for its naturally growing palmyra trees. While these trees can be found throughout An Giang, they are most abundant in the Seven Mountains area — where the Khmer community has long been renowned for their traditional palmyra nectar craft.
Why We Are Ethical, Sustainable, and Transparent

Palmania nectar is made from the sap of naturally grown palmyra trees (Borassus Flabellifer) in An Giang, Vietnam.
A wild palmyra tree takes at least 30 years before its first harvest, and can continue producing nectar for over a century.
Palmyra nectar harvesting is inherently ethical and sustainable, as it does not harm the tree or reduce its lifespan.
Our Harvest Practice

The harvest season in southern Vietnam runs from November to June. Farmers climb the trees, slice the flower stems, and hang containers to collect the nectar.
Although palmyra nectar can theoretically be collected year-round, at Palmania we only harvest during this season for three reasons:
- Safety: Climbing 20–30 meter trees is slippery and dangerous during the rainy season.
- Quality: Nectar collected in hot, dry weather yields the best flavor.
- Sustainability: We respect nature’s rhythm, allowing our trees to rest and recharge nutrients for the next season.
